Arts and crafts activities unlock potential, eradicate apathy and build strong, happy, independent and fulfilled communities. Local people play a vital part in offering many thousands of opportunities to participate in the arts and crafts on a voluntary / amateur basis. These activities include dance, drama, literature, music, visual arts, embroidery, potter, lace making, applied arts, festivals and many other activities.

Voluntary Arts England works across England and OUR MISSION is to work towards an empowered, participative, fulfilled and healthy civil society by promoting practical participation in the arts and crafts. We do this primarily by advocating for increased resources to voluntary and amateur arts and crafts participation, sharing best practice and empowering ordinary people to make, do, promote and present the arts and crafts for themselves. We raise awareness of the contribution that arts participation makes to the well-being of communities, social inclusion, lifelong learning, active citizenship and volunteering. If you think that voluntary & amateur arts are important, then join us!

There’s no membership charge. We’re raising recognition of your work, not money for ours.
